On 26th of May at 5:00pm I’m opening an international T-shirt art exhibition called “ARTSHI EXPO – Art on a T-shirt” in the Tallinn Art Space gallery (Maakri 21, Tallinn).
An exhibition like this has never been conducted in Estonia. Its purpose is to introduce the T-shirt as a new medium nad to prove its flexibility. With this exhibition I hope to increase peoples interest in contemporary art and to make it more accessible. The exposition consists of artworks from estonian and foreign artists. Many of the works are printed just for the exhibition in Estonian Lithographic Center. A week before and after the opening ceremony I’m going to arrange workshops to introduce different techniques for printing of a shirt.
